The United States of America has a well-armed military that (presumably) protects and defends our country from external aggressors, as well as state militias — the National Guard. So why are civilian bureaucracies of the federal government, especially the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), arming themselves and amassing an arsenal?
First, it was the Department of Education buying shotguns in March 2010. Then in March 2012 came news that the DHS ordered 450 million rounds of .40 caliber ammunition. The next month, April 2012, it was the USDA buying 300,000 rounds of ammo. In July 2012 came news that the DHS added high-powered battle rifles to its arsenal. On August 8, 2012, the DHS ordered over half a ton of high explosives. On August 10, 2012, the DHS put in an order for even more ammunition — hundreds of millions of rounds.
Add the Social Security Administration and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) to that growing list.
Paul Joseph Watson reports for Infowars.com, August 15, 2012, that the Social Security Administraton has posted a solicitation on the FedBizOpps website for contractors to supply 174,000 rounds of “.357 Sig 125 grain bonded jacketed hollow point pistol ammunition” that will be delivered to 41 locations across the country.
Hollow point bullets are designed to expand as they enter the body, causing maximum damage by tearing apart internal organs. An online ammunition retailer describes the bullets as suitable “for peak performance rivaling and sometimes surpassing handloads in many guns,” noting that the ammo is “a great personal defense bullet.”
The synopsis to the solicitation adds that the ammunition is to be shipped to 41 locations, which include the Social Security headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland as well as major cities across the country including Los Angeles, Detroit, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Denver, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Seattle.
Just yesterday, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration also put out a contract for 46,000 rounds of hollow point bullets along with 500 paper targets. NOAA’s order asked the bullets to be delivered to the National Weather Service, which NOAA later claimed was a “clerical error” and that the ammunition was being sent to the Fisheries Office of Law Enforcement instead. Of course, NOAA does not explain why the Office of Fisheries would need powerful hollow point bullets designed to tear apart internal organs.
“It’s not outlandish to suggest that the Social Security Administration is purchasing the bullets as part of preparations for civil unrest. Social security welfare is estimated to keep around 40% of senior citizens out of poverty. Should the tap run dry in the aftermath of an economic collapse which the Federal Reserve has already told top banks to prepare for, domestic disorder could ensue if people are refused their benefits.”
Folks, it’s looking more and more like the Obama administration knows something we don’t and is arming its civilian agencies in preparation for mass civil unrest or war.
