Miley Cyrus says sex is ‘cool’ and ‘magical’
Fox News: Miley Cyrus has taken another giant leap away from her child star alter ego, Hannah Montana. Cyrus, 19, appeared on the interview show The Conversation, where she talked to host Amanda DeCadenet about her sex life.
The star of the recent film flop “LOL,” co-starring Demi Moore (who also produces “The Conversation”) said it was important parents tell kids how great sex is, as kids will be finding out about it on television anyway.
“It’s the only way we create, and it’s the only way the world keeps going. So it’s ignorant not to talk to your kids about it or [not] make it seem as magical or cool as it actually is,” she said. “[Kids] have a TV, so they know what sex is. So educate them and let them know it’s a beautiful thing, and it is magic, and it’s when you connect with somebody.”
Cyrus went on to explain that sex should not be used as currency. “The girls that really base how much they’re worth on the sexual favors they can do for somebody, that makes me really sad,” she said. “Your worth isn’t based on [sex],” she added. “Your worth is based on how you feel about yourself.”
On Sunday, Cyrus raised eyebrows when she wore a very revealing jacket to the Billboard Music Awards, sans trousers.
As the tv character Hannah Montana, Miley has garnered a massive fan base of tweens and teens since 2006. I wonder if the parents of her fans will be pleased with her sex advice to their young children? I bet they are rushing to have conversations with their children about sex after Miley’s proclamation.
Or maybe they’ll realize that these words of wisdom are coming from a woman who celebrated her 18th birthday by smoking a bong and at age 15 posed topless (she was partially covered with a blanket) for Vanity Fair.
Bet Planned Parenthood is already working to devise a campaign based around Miley’s magical advice.
