Here’s proof that environmentalists really are Nazis

Al Armendariz

This morning’s news is that Al Armendariz, the Obama administration’s top EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) official in America’s oil-rich South and Southwest regions, resigned in a letter to his superior on Sunday. Armendariz had come under increasing scrutiny for his 2010 remarks that the EPA should “crucify” oil companies to make examples of them.

Speaking before a local Texas government meeting in 2010, Armendariz described his “philosophy of enforcement”:

“It was kind of like how the Romans used to, you know, conquer villages in the Mediterranean. They’d go in to a little Turkish town somewhere, they’d find the first five guys they saw, and they’d crucify them. And then, you know, that town was really easy to manage for the next few years. You make examples out of people [oil companies] who are in this case not complying with the law … and you hit them as hard as you can.”

Armendariz is not alone in his environmental Nazism.

Kari Norgaard

There’s that charming Oregon college professor, Kari Norgaard, who declared that if you don’t believe in climate change you must be sick, and that skepticism about climate change is as evil as racism.

Norgaard also wrote a letter in which she praised Barack Obama for hiring eugenicist John P. Holdren as his chief science advisor, while also urging Obama to ignore public opinion and disregard democracy in favor of enforcing draconian climate change mandates.

And do you remember this video “No Pressure” — a commercial made by the 10:10 Campaign, exhorting us to reduce our carbon emissions by at least 10% in 2010? In the video, school children and adults who refuse to join 10:10 are blown up into bits, their blood and pieces of flesh spattering those nearby. The video/commercial is not a spoof. The people who put it together were very serious and very demented:

If the video’s been pulled by YouTube, you can see an Eyeblast version of it HERE.

Then there’s Steve Zwick, who writes on environmental issues for Forbes magazine.

Writing on April 19, 2012, Zwick rails against the climate change “denial machine” and its “disinformation campaign.” Zwick has this proposal for how to deal with all those evil “denialists”:

“Let’s take a page from those Tennessee firemen we heard about a few times last year – the ones who stood idly by as houses burned to the ground because their owners had refused to pay a measly $75 fee.

We can apply this same logic to climate change.

We know who the active denialists are – not the people who buy the lies, mind you, but the people who create the lies.  Let’s start keeping track of them now, and when the famines come, let’s make them pay.  Let’s let their houses burn…  Let’s swap their safe land for submerged islands.  Let’s force them to bear the cost of rising food prices.”

Steve Zwick also says that “the evidence” of climate change “is there right now for anyone who does their homework, and it has been for some time.”

Indeed, “the evidence is there” but it’s Zwick who’s not doing his homework.

Despite all the claims about global warming, it turns out global temperatures have remained almost stagnant in the last two decades, having risen by just 0.29 °C in 20 years. This very inconvenient truth was reported by the UK’s Environment Minister Gregory Barker in a recent parliamentary answer to Tory MP Anne Main.

That reality led environmental guru James Lovelock, who had warned that billions would die before the end of this century and only the Arctic would be fit for human habitation, to admit that he may have been “alarmist” [translation: "wrong"] about climate change. He said:

“The problem is we don’t know what the climate is doing. We thought we knew 20 years ago. That led to some alarmist books – mine included – because it looked clear-cut, but it hasn’t happened.”

Someone please notify Al Armendariz, Kari Norgaard, the 10-10 Campaign, and Steve Zwick! A new member just joined the ranks of the evil Denialists!

James Lovelock should be crucified! James Lovelock is sick and a racist! James Lovelock’s house should be burnt down!

H/t beloved GrouchyFogie.

  1. These people remind me of the “pod people” in Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. Remember how they alerted each other to the presence of an “outsider”? Raise their arms, point, and shriek (in our case) “RAAAAACIST!!”. They amble through life, single minded in their purpose, completely devoid of any rational thought process that is their own. There is no point in discussion with people like this; their minds are like concrete…thoroughly mixed and firmly set.

  2. Although they are losing this AGW debate, proponents will never concede that their climate computer models are wrong. They’re irrational and hysterical and must be defeated with reason and facts.

This jogs a memory about the need for a universal threat. I think it was from the old 1960s “Report From Iron Mountain“. Time to take another look at it.

  4. For environmentalists, people are expendible (or just a nuisance, anyway).

  5. i got to the part the romans would go to a turkish town and went whaaaat romans turks there where no turks in the levant during the time of rome this area was greek not turk greeks not turks geez and this guy is in charge of something how did he get out of high school. turks showed up centuries after the collapse of rome.

  6. we should grab the first five obama administration flunkies and impale them in front of the white house as a warning of what we do to stupid people..

  7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vlad_III_the_Impaler what one wallachian did to try and preserve christianity in the balkans and in europe. impale a muslim or muslim on a sharp stick recommended for use on the obama family

    • Please, igor, cut it out. Your violent comments can be viewed as death threats. That’s against federal law. I’ve deleted your comments before, but will no longer tolerate your violent comments. Do that again and you will go on our ban list.

  8. Today [30 April] is the OFFICIAL day when ALL studded and extreme snow & ice tires MUST come off in Newfoundland, Canada. Unfortunately for our law-makers, Heaven sent a foot of snow over the just and unjust alike, so those who had complied were SOL on going anywhere, while the ‘weather-wise guys’ were happily going to and fro! Apparently politicos never let reality interfere with their Glorious Five Year Plans….

    • You know, I feel that in regard of human history [hh] to date, with the main focus on the past seventy, I believe you & I have lived through the most significant period in hh, in terms of what we’ve known and what we did with that knowledge. In some areas we accomplished a great deal of good, but when one puts aside the flash and flim-flam, we’ve done far more damage overall. In one of my poems I wrote that we were “tragic apes, God’s first mistake,” which may seem unduly harsh, but I was writing as Nietzsche/Goethe did when he wrote of “the Germans: how admirable in the individual, how despicable in the mass!” Betcha never thought he saw his fellow Germans in that light!

  9. This is such good news. The green agenda is totally fascist and promotes genocide. Obama has tried giving all sorts of money to greenies and each time it has fallen flat on it’s face, so to speak. The people who have given him money for his being elected and perhaps will give again are involved in the idea of getting rid of useless eaters, and it’s amazing that this guy’s reference to crucifixion caused such an uproar!!!!!!!!!! In a world that is riddled with groups who won’t acknowlege that Christ was the Messiah, and that he died for the remission of our sins, it is a remarkable turn of events that the idea of crucifixion would turn so many people off, and this guy was forced to resign. The fear of God is the beginning of understanding, it’s really about time that the fear of the LORD manifests itself worldwide………………………
Mocking God is a total nono.
