63 Active Drone Sites in USA

Julian Gavaghan reporting for the Daily Mail -

There are at least 63 active drone sites around the U.S, federal authorities have been forced to reveal following a landmark Freedom of Information lawsuit.

The unmanned planes – some of which may have been designed to kill terror suspects – are being launched from locations in 20 states.

Most of the active drones are deployed from military installations, enforcement agencies and border patrol teams, according to the Federal Aviation Authority.

Please go to the link above for more detailed scary maps. Below is an interview with Judge Nap not long before he left FOX.

In November 2010, a police lieutenant from Parma, Ohio, asked Vanguard Defense Industries if the Texas-based drone manufacturer could mount a “grenade launcher and/or 12-gauge shotgun” on its ShadowHawk drone for U.S. law enforcement agencies. The answer was yes.

Last month, police officers from 10 public safety departments around the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area gathered at an airfield in southern Maryland to view a demonstration of a camera-equipped aerial drone — first developed for military use — that flies at speeds up to 20 knots or hovers for as long as an hour.

And in late March, South Korean police and military flew a Canadian-designed drone as part of “advance security preparations” for the Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul where protesters clashed with police.

  1. Whoa…Sage, the article said that there were privately owned drones? Am I reading that right?

    • Why Sage? Are we talking companies like Google using for pics…which is horrendous! Or are we talking about companies that would use them for weapons? Or both? This is truly scary!

Of course most are in Texas! Less conspicuous in RURAL areas! Most are located in less populated areas! Not all…but most.

  2. Yes I saw a news report from Texas a month or so ago about this but I had no idea it had gotten to this level already. My husband is in Texas now visiting his sister…and I see by the map, there are TWO smack dab where my kids live in Kansas! I don’t have a gun…should I buy one, or are we at the point where they would just confiscate it if I did? And those things can see in your house??!! What pervs!!

  3. I don’t mean to be a defeatist. But what good is the 2nd Amendment’s right to bear arms against the government’s increasingly cutting-edge, stuff-of-sci-fi arsenal?

    • I honestly don’t know Doc! This is totally frightening. How do we even begin to fight things we do not know exist?

      • Miranda,

When we feel beleaguered, our side would make bravado noises: “We have guns! and we’ll fight you to the death!” But I’ve been thinking for some time now about all this cutting-edge arsenal that the government has, against which guns mean squat. Our only hope is in groups like Oath Keepers — in the military and police standing with The People should it come to a choice. But I honestly don’t have confidence they will. The Orwellian State is growing (no longer creeping) by such leaps and bounds that the point will come when “Resistance is Futile”, assuming we haven’t already passed that point.

        • It’s suppose to be this way I guess. People always wait to depend on The LORD until everything else has failed! Prayer is the most powerful weapon we have…it is the one thing that CAN defeat everything the government can throw at us. IMO, Until there is no other way to win this losing battle but by the GRACE OF GOD, things will only get worse.

This nation has totally abandoned Him, why should we expect any different? We have brought this on ourselves! (Americans in general)

        • the communists have also been waiting on technology to be ripe,

    • Like you said…things from sci-fi books!

  4. I wonder what the H-E-(Double Hockey Sticks) Obama and his group of misfits were up to when the media was spending every second covering the “pink slime” situation? (the ground beef incident-that shut down one of our area’s biggest job producers and caused the cattle market to drop.) You cannot tell me that that was not being used to take the place of something truly important.

  5. Seattle Police have one….another reason for me not to visit that lib-infested city. WSDOT has one too, so they can “monitor” traffic or some BS like that I bet. They already have cameras all over the state.

And the sheeple shall remain clueless…

  6. I’m not thinking a measly gun would be necessarily a way to save yourself; but it might be preferable to go out fighting than to languish for years in a “re-education” camp…I don’t know, something to ponder.

  7. I find the placement of the bulk of these sites to be not a little curious.

    -Dave

  8. Curious indeed. Borders open, most locations look to be states that would most likely secede or revolt.

  9. Remember when the Feds assured us that drones would never be used in the U.S for spying on its people.

  10. The map missed a base. Old George Air Force base in Adelanto, Ca. has a small drone base that is being turned into a rather large drone base. This is not second hand info, this is from my eyes to you.
Predators, Hawks and Reapers, oh my!!

  11. go fly a kite with heavy duty fishing line no more drones

  12. Do you know what a police state looks like? This is what a police state looks like. (I love that chant.)

  13. The Sun’s magnetic activity is increasing just in time to make these craft highly vulnerable. Transform your local radio station into a directional transmitter, boost the transmitter power, and send to your local skies a global command: “DIVE”.

  14. Dang–I thought I was just seeing things or misinterpreting last week when I saw one fly overhead, but according to the map I’m only a few miles west of one of the drone sites. Weirdness abounding.

  15. Seattle Police say they won’t use drones for spying. “Whitcomb says the drones will be used for situations like crime scene photography, missing person searches, and barricaded person scenarios.” Yeah, right.

    • Wonder what Skippy thinks of using drones….I mean, the SPD is going to use them for crime scenes instead of actual people taking pictures? Doesn’t that mean we lose jobs (like Skippy’s reference to ATMs taking away from jobs). Pick a side libs and be consistent.
